While you can visit bookpower.com (the "Web Site") without registering or providing any personal information other than your name, you will need to provide other personal information if you want to make a purchase. The personal information requested is necessary to process your order. Except where stated otherwise, the term "BookPower" used on the Web Site and in this Statement shall be deemed to include the Bookpower (which is an operating division of Searchfast Systems Limited), Searchfast Systems Limited and its affiliates, subsidiaries, successors and assigns. The Web Site is operated by BookPower.

What does BookPower use your personal information for?

BookPower asks for your name, address, email address, and other personal information when you place an order online. This information is used to process your orders and to allow us to communicate with you. The information also enables BookPower to customize products or services to better meet your preferences.

BookPower may also use personal account information and data collected through your personal identification to generate statistics and aggregate reports for internal use and for meeting our obligations to your school. These statistics and aggregate reports will not contain any information that could identify you personally.

Security - How does BookPower protect your personal information?

We have adopted physical and technological processes and procedures to keep your personal information safe and secure. The personal information you provide when you establish an account or place an order is secured using Secure Socket Layers ("SSL") encryption technology. We use this SSL technology to prevent such information from being intercepted and read as it is transmitted over the Internet to our own servers. Only when it reaches the BookPower servers is your information decrypted and then stored on restricted access computers. We reveal only a portion of your credit card number when confirming an order and your credit card number is always encrypted when stored on any of our systems. It is important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your password and your computer.

Does BookPower use "Cookies"?

Depending on how you have configured your browser, when you shop at bookpower.com, a small file -- a "cookie" -- is stored on your computer. BookPower uses only temporary cookies that are removed from you computer when your session is over. The cookie contains a unique personal identification code and is used to save your Shopping Cart and other session information and retrieve them as you navigate our site.

Does BookPower share the personal information it receives?

BookPower does not and will not sell customer information to others. BookPower contracts with certain trusted companies to act on our behalf by performing such functions as delivering packages and processing credit card payments.
